Have no fear. Children don’t die from COVID-19. Here’s the government data that proves it.

Data published by the Center for Disease Control shows statistically “0%” of children die from COVID-19. Out of the total 164,186 COVID-19 deaths in the United States (as of August 22, 2020), 330 deaths have been children and young adults age 0-24. The actual calculation is .002% of all COVID-19 deaths are age 0-24. The CDC refers to this as 0%. 

Respiratory diseases account for 96% of the comorbidities associated with the 330 COVID-19 deaths in this age category. Respiratory diseases accounted for 36.6% and obesity accounted for 24%.

Have no fear. Your healthy child is statistically more likely to die in a car crash on the way to an appointment to get a vaccine that die from COVID-19. 

Among children who are medically complex and fragile, respiratory and circulatory diseases and obesity pose the only quantifiable risk factor. Neurological disorders and other rare childhood genetic diseases were not a risk factor for COVID-19 according to the NCHS data published by the CDC.
